A: Super Stain Treat is a completely different formula than Pool Stain Treat and removes stains in a very different way. Super Stain Treat acts as a “reducing agent” to metal stains, while Pool Stain Treat acts as an “oxidizing agent” (these are completely different reactions). This means certain types of metal staining will react better with one versus the other.

For certain types of extra stubborn stains, you may find that Super Stain Treat works better and/or faster than Pool Stain Treat.

Q: Will Super Stain Treat prevent stains?

A: No. Super Stain Treat is strictly for the removal of stains. While Super Stain Treat does stay active to keep the stains from immediately coming back, for long-term prevention of staining we recommend you use Pool Stain Treat every 60 days.

Directions	EASY INSTRUCTIONS: Itis important that directions for this product be followed as closely as possible in order to achieve the desired results. If all directions are followed, stain removal will folow quickly and effortlessly. Turn off pump. A. Pool chlorine level should be below 0.3 PPM before treatment with this product. You may reduce chlorine level with United's "Chlorine Neutralizer" - which is either available with this product or may be purchased separately from your dealer. B. Before turning on pump, pool water should be balanced correctly according to dealer or manufacturer guidelines, but pH must be below 7.2 for this product to work at highest effectiveness. After treatment cycle with this product is completed, reset pH to proper level. C. After 1 hour, brush pool. Check pH before turning on pump. After 4 days, add 1-2 lb. bottle of Pool Stain Treat per 20,000 gallons. Always use Pool Stain Treat which is sold by your dealer to minimize future staining.
